Comments: pepper joe,
the best part of your website is the photo gallery. the different albums show pepper plants in every stage of development grown in a variety of methods - raised beds, containers, sophisticated indoor hydroponic systems, and a scrap-built greenhouse.
the pencil drawing style images on the catalog page look nice, but you may want to add some thumbnails or text links to the photos of the actual plants. also, the home page could be tidied up a bit so that you don't have to scroll down so far to get to the bottom of the page.
overall i like the site. i will order pepper and tomato seeds as soon as i get the catalog.

Comments: The only single "problem" I had with your site is the lack of photos of each variety of chili and tomato. This was more of a problem initially, before I began growing your peppers. Now I know what to expect in my third year with your seeds. However I still think you would do well to add pictures of your vegetables as the specimines that I have grown are absolutely beautiful. Show em off!!
Thanks for a great product!

Comments: Dear Pepper Joe's,
I hope I'm not sure writing this prematurely however I wanted to write to
tell you about the seeds I've ordered and how they are doing.
I've followed your directions by soaking them overnight in warm water. I
then planted them in a mixture of potting soil, peat moss and an organic
composte that I make. I put the seeds in a small green house container and
made sure the watering was correct. The seeds are indoors by a morning sun
window. Other house plants in the same area are thriving.
I have experience beginning plants from seeds. I have successfully grown
tomatoes, pepper plants and herbs. I wouldn't say I'm an experienced
gardener or have the greenest of thumbs however I have had some successes.
Should I have move sprouts from the seeds? The reason I ask if I'm writing
prematurely is perhaps I've not given the seeds the proper time to
germinate. Could this be the case?
I've described the seeds and the sprouts from each:
Pepperoncini - 0
Sweet Crimson - 1
Charleston - 1
Mr. Stripey - 2
Orange Glow - 4
Bermuda (free) - 7
Thanks, AL

Comments: Hey there pepperphiles. Great site you have here, I think. Just placed my first order with you, and I doubt I'll be disappointed. I do have one tiny suggestion, though. A link to a photo of each pepper plant in a mature stage would go a long way to helping folks decide on a variety. My girlfriend was interested in trying a plant as an ornamental (I'll get her into serious growing with a little work...) but I don't know enough about some of the exotic varieties to know how large some of the plants get, or if they might be viable as an ornamental. Just an idea. And keep sending the snail mail catalogs, my friends leaf through it and get interested in the idea quite often! Thanks again!

Comments: I posted the following message on the message board, but there appears to be no one from Pepper Joe's that looks in on it:

Comments: Hey Fellow Chileheads.
Thought I'd answer some recent issues...typically the comments are real positive.
Kim, for a catalog for you and all friends send addresses to FreeCatalog@pepperjoe.com
Greg, I sold the Big Jim...was a slower seller. Bruce, I haven't heard these issues before...is "2 or 3 extra of each seed pack" really an issue? Good comments on the ordering system...my Internet company, MDO doesn't have secure ordering. I have NEVER had a security problem since being on the Internet with my present set up but for my customers peace of mind I'll look into Paypal. I asked my techie to add an "E-mail Pepper Joe' button at bottom of homepage. It must have fell off. It is pepperjoe@comcast.net And finally, there are clear un-subscribe instructions at the bottom of each newsletter...I cannot subscribe or unsubscribe anyone for security reasons.
Great Gardening and Fiery Regards,
Pepper Joe
