Description:

The name Tabasco is seen everywhere...you'd have to be living under a rock to not have heard the name before. This famous heirloom variety was introduced into Louisiana back in 1848 and became the main ingredient in making the famous Tabasco Hot Sauce!

Tabasco pepper plants are prolific and vigorous, growing up to 4 ft. tall and producing small, thin peppers that will cover the entire plant! We love it when there is a colorful array of green Tabasco peppers, red Tabasco peppers, and yellow Tabasco peppers growing at the same time. The Tabasco chili will ripen from green, orange, to finally red.

You'll notice a spicy medium hot heat that comes with a delicious smoky flavor that you'll want to add to just about everything! These peppers have an incredible amount of juice for such a tiny variety! This quality makes Tabasco peppers an excellent option for making your own Tabasco hot sauce. Gives these chili peppers a try in your garden and in your own pepper recipes!

They are coming along nice

I live in Michigan and I had a vacation in April so I started the seeds indoors a little later than normal. Put in the ground after fear of frost. they love the hot humid weather we’re having now and I have tons of flowers. I got about 90% germination rate on my seeds but I only planted 6 in the garden and gave a few to my kids to grow. My first harvest will be used in a ferment for hot sauce.
