Description:

Dante’s Hot peppers are one of the largest peppers you’ll grow in your garden! Also named the Pepper Dante F1, this hybrid continuously produces these amazing peppers that have many different uses.

Enjoy the bountiful fruits these pepper plants produce. Dante's Hot peppers are very large, growing to 7" long and sometimes even longer! They're shaped like jalapenos, tapering off to a point, and will ripen from a pale green color, to dark green, and finally to red when they reach maturity. These plants will perform well in a range of environments and produce early continuous peppers.

You can expect to taste a tangy mild heat when you take a bite of Dante's Hot pepper, and you should definitely try a few of these when they are dark green! These peppers are great for grilling, roasting, stuffing, or fried.

No germination yet after 9 days

Planted the Dante's in seedling soil, with a seedling heat mat and humidity cover. Did the same with the Griller, Inferno, Corbaci, and Pot-a-Peno. They all germinated and with sprouts within 7 days. They're doing well. Pleased with those four. Dante's - still waiting after 9 days. Planted two more Dante's seeds this afternoon. I'll pay special attention to them.

Thomas,
Thank you for providing a review on these seeds! It sounds like you have a great set-up going and we are happy to hear that most of the seeds have germinated in your order. Pepper seeds can take up to 4-6 weeks to germinate so you may see your Dante's seeds come up yet! We would advise giving these a few more weeks and see if any sprout. If they do not, please feel free to reach out to us at customerservice@pepperjoe.com and we would be happy to look into this further!

  • What You'll Need

    Soil and Tray Method

    Seed Starting Supplies
  • Plant your Seeds

    1. Pre-saturate your seed starting soil mix. Ensure the seed starting mix is fully saturated prior to planting your seed.
    2. Make a ¼-inch hole in the center of each seed starting cell. A #2 pencil eraser is a great tool for making these holes.
    3. Place your seed and cover gently with soil.
You can plant up to 4 seeds per cell to help ensure successful germination.
  • 4. Place your heat mat under  your base tray and your humidity dome on top. For best results, set your temperature controller between 75 - 80 degrees.

    5. Place your plant light above the seed starting tray and turn on. Refer to the plant light manufacturers instructions for the optimal distance. Plant light should remain on for 14 to 16 hours per day.

    6. Enjoy watching them grow! See our full instruction page below for more information.
